Our Story

Born from a season of intense doubt and developed from a simple T-shirt idea, I need Jesus. quickly became a divinely inspired, ten-year vision to build a Christian brand that funds the defense and advancement of the Gospel. Starting small and local in Boise, Idaho — but dreaming and praying big.

Why We Do This

We use the profits from the sale of our merchandise both to fund our growing apologetics mission and to help relieve people of their earthly debt, reflecting Jesus' payment of our eternal debt. We hope to be a conduit of God's grace to believers and non-believers alike, so that they may know He loves them, blesses them, created them, and saved them.

The Way We Create

The vision behind I Need Jesus Apparel is to create thoughtful, Scripture-rooted series that guide the design and message of our shirts as we continue to grow. Each series is meant to carry a specific theme within our larger mission: to boldly proclaim our need for Jesus and create opportunities for gospel conversations.

The Rest in Him Series

The Rest in Him series was born from the very first shirt idea behind our brand: the simple but profound truth that we need Jesus. The Vine shirt became the foundation of this series, using God's Word to show us why we need Him, how we depend on Him, and what fruit comes from abiding in Him.

This series is designed to confront the lost and remind believers through direct Scripture and meaningful illustrations that our need for Jesus does not end at salvation. We need Him daily - for strength, rest, freedom, guidance, endurance, and life itself. By boldly proclaiming "I need Jesus," we want to communicate humility, dependence, and hope - pointing every heart back to the One who alone can satisfy, sustain, and save.

The Apologetics Series

The Apologetics series came to us on the very first night of building I Need Jesus Apparel. After putting our boys to bed, we stayed up late designing the first shirt - and suddenly, another idea came to us.

What if we created a series that still carried the simple confession, "I need Jesus," on the front, but used the back of each piece to address the hard questions people have about Christianity?

From that idea came a collection of bold, 19th-century-inspired infographics designed to explore major subjects within Christian apologetics — the resurrection, creation, morality, Scripture, and more. Each design is meant to be visually striking, deeply informative, and rooted in the historic defense of the Christian faith. To equip believers with meaningful talking points and to invite skeptics to discover what Christianity truly has to say about life's biggest questions. These pieces are designed to become conversation starters - pointing people toward Scripture, sound reasoning, and the faithful work of apologetic voices who have helped defend the truth of the gospel.

This series helped open our eyes to the mission field we now feel called toward: the skeptical heart. Inviting people to consider that the Christian faith is not fragile, shallow, or blind, but deeply rooted, intellectually rich, and centered on the person of Jesus Christ.

We are still perfecting these designs, but keep a lookout they will be dropping soon.

The I need Jesus. Series

The I need Jesus. series is the simplest expression of our entire brand - and the statement that started it all.

One Sunday at church, we sat next to a man wearing a shirt that read, "I need Jesus" across his chest. I was immediately struck by the boldness and humility of those words. Not "y'all need Jesus," though that is true. But I need Jesus.

I do. Still. Always.

When I searched the internet for a shirt that said this and came up empty-handed. It changed the direction of our lives. What began as a single phrase became the foundation of a larger vision: apparel that boldly proclaims our dependence on Christ and invites others into gospel conversations.

This series carries the clearest and truest message we have: I need Jesus. On shirts, hats, stickers, and everyday pieces, the goal is the same - to wear a humble confession, a bold declaration, and an invitation for others to consider their own need for Him.

Our Vision

• Within 1 year: Be present at our local farmers market with our merchandise — and our hearts — ready to engage in thoughtful conversation with skeptics.
• Within 2 years: Launch an apologetics YouTube channel.
• Within 5 years: Embark on a "Big City" road trip across the United States.
• Within 10 years: Become a fully functioning global apologetics missions foundation.
